Description
2010 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Grands-Echezeaux Grand Cru. Grands Echezeaux has a total area of 9ha 14a 45ca under vine with Domaine Mongreard-Mugneret having 1ha 44a 40ca of that total. The soil is rich in clay on bajocien limestone. Vine ages are between40 years and 70 years. Harvesting is done by hand and de-stalking depends on the quality of the vintage. The wine sees 100% new oak barrels.
2010 was a small harvest but the quality is awesome. The wines are rich and harmonious, they are indeed classic wines. The colours are deep ruby and beautifully bright, the nose is divine, noble and subtle, fresh red fruits and notes of raspberry and strawberry.
