Cullen Wines is located in the Margaret River, Western Australia.  The 2010 Kevin John Chardonnay is one of the best releases of this magnificent chardonnay.  The summer was warm and dry which led to very high quality fruit enabling Cullen to produce another outstanding Kevin John Chardonnay.  The fruit was hand picked at a range of sugar levels but when in excellent physioloical condition.  It was gently pressed with a basket press producing a wine of elegance and great complexity.   
The 2010 Kevin John Chardonnay is brilliant straw in colour.  The bouquet is complex with fresh citrus, paw paw, matchstick and almond aromas.  The palate is elegant with fresh citrus flavours and minerality leading into a crisp and lingering finish.  Will benefit with 5 years of cellaring to completly come together, drink until 2025. 
Fruit for the 2010 Kevin John Chardonnay was sourced from Cullen Vineyard.  Harvest was from 11 February to 26 February 2010.  The fruit was whole bunch basket pressed and underwent frementation French barriques (66% new).  This vintage also went through partial malolactic fermentation prior to another 5 months in the barrels.  The 2010 Kevin John Chardonnay weighs in at 13.5% alc/vol.
